Bangkok, Thailand (17 February 2020) – One Bangkok, Co., Ltd, a joint venture between TCC Assets and Frasers Property, together with Concrete Products and Aggregate Co., Ltd. (CPAC), and partners: K.C.S. & Associates Co., Ltd., Stonehenge Inter Plc and Italian-Thai Development Corporation Limited celebrated the largest mat foundation pouring in Southeast Asia history for an office tower at One Bangkok, with the successful coordination of 547 trucks providing a total 23,725 cubic meters of concrete at the global landmark expected to open in 2023.

The continuous foundation pouring for one of the district’s towers occurred over a 33 hour-and-15-minute period. The 4.5-meter thick mat foundation for the 170-meter office tower – one of the first buildings to welcome tenants at One Bangkok in 2023 – employed 2,200 tons of reinforced steel, and the concrete used is a special low-heat material containing a high compressive strength of 600-kilograms per square centimeter.

The historic event saw the seamless collaboration of One Bangkok, CPAC and their partners. The site and its surrounding area were cleaned thoroughly throughout, with One Bangkok prioritizing sustainable initiatives and the community’s well-being during the process.

These measures included complete wash bays for all vehicles before leaving the site, and the cleaning and sweeping of adjoining roads and footpaths. To ensure minimal disruption to the surrounding community, dust control systems were installed around the site, with air and noise pollution sensors also set up both within and outside the district.

The scale of the landmark event highlighted One Bangkok’s ambition to set new benchmarks for both Thailand and the region, whether in design, living or sustainability, through its top-of-industry knowledge and the combined professional experience of its partners. With the largest mat foundation pouring in Southeast Asia history, One Bangkok continues to build towards elevating the status of Thailand on the world stage as a global leader.
