One Bangkok Joins Bangkok Climate Action Week 2026 As Principal Venue Partner

One Bangkok is participating in Bangkok Climate Action Week 2026 and is set to host a range of activities from 5 to 7 October 2026. Positioning itself as a dynamic “Living Classroom”, One Bangkok aims to bridge sustainability principles with real-world practices, fostering greater awareness and understanding of climate action among the public.

Organised by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Just Transitions Incubator (JUTI), and international climate networks, Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) provides a platform for citizens, creatives, communities, and institutions to come together in new ways, celebrating local leadership and collective imagination to shape a climate-safe, inclusive future for Southeast Asia.

As a principal venue partner for this year’s event, One Bangkok will present a curated series of activities and experiences, including guided tours of its sustainable infrastructure, environmental film screenings, expert talks and panel discussion organised by multilateral institutions and global organisations, as well as an interactive public exhibition designed to engage and inspire visitors.

Experiential Highlights: Sustainability in Real-World Action

One Bangkok Open House: A free guided sustainability tour exploring how sustainability is integrated into the design, construction, and operation of a modern city district of One Bangkok. From energy-efficient buildings and smart infrastructure to urban green spaces, energy and water management systems, circular waste solutions, and people-centred public spaces, this guided tour brings the principles of sustainable urban development to life through real-world examples and practical insights. Five sessions will be held: on 5 and 6 October (10:00–11:00 hrs and 15:30–16:30 hrs) and on 7 October from 10:00–11:00 hrs (20 participants per session; registration required).

Documentary Screenings: Hosted in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, One Bangkok Park will stage open-air twilight screenings of acclaimed Dutch urban-mobility documentaries: When We Cycle by Arne Gielen and Gertjan Hulster. The films illustrate how cycling evolved from a cultural habit into an integrated, climate-responsive transit model that reduces emissions and enhances urban health. Wednesday, 7 October 2026 from 18:00 – 20:30 hrs at One Bangkok Park. Free admission.

Interactive Exhibition at MRT Linkage: Presented by the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), the exhibition “Surviving the City: How Bangkok Residents Adapt to Heat, Floods, and a Sinking Ground” will be staged along the direct MRT underground walkway. Designed to bridge lived experiences with urban policy, the interactive exhibition invites commuters and young residents to explore the impacts of climate change on urban living and discover practical adaptation strategies for addressing extreme heat, flooding, and land subsidence in Bangkok. Free admission.

Global Climate Dialogues

One Bangkok will also provide the stage for policy panels and technical symposiums led by prominent international organisations, development agencies, and research bodies. Across the three days, global experts and policymakers will explore critical regional priorities, including ASEAN energy grid integration and transition finance, carbon pricing mechanisms, corporate decarbonisation pathways, and nature-based urban resilience.
